Privacy Policy

TradingFXO is designed to collect as little as possible. This page explains what that means in practice today, and what will happen if that changes.

Summary

  • There are no user accounts, sign-ups, contact forms or payments on the site.
  • The practice simulator saves its progress only in your own browser (local storage). It is not sent to us.
  • The calculators work in your browser and do not save what you type.
  • The site does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies.
  • Our hosting provider processes standard technical request data so that pages can be delivered and protected.
02

Information we do not collect

Because there are no accounts or forms, the site does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, payment details or trading account details. The fonts and other files the site uses are served from the site itself, not from third-party font or script services.

03

Hosting and technical data

The site is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare. As with almost any website, when your browser requests a page, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page and the date and time. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and protect it from abuse, and Cloudflare may keep request logs for a limited period. Cloudflare's handling of this data is described in its own privacy policy.

04

Data stored in your browser

The practice simulator saves your session in your browser's local storage so that it is still there when you come back. This includes the price seed, starting balance and leverage, open and closed simulated trades, session statistics and display choices such as the selected pair. It is stored under keys beginning with tradingfxo..

This data stays on your device. It is not sent to TradingFXO, not linked to your identity and not synced across devices. You can delete it at any time by starting a new session in the simulator, or by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. Once deleted it cannot be recovered, because no copy is kept anywhere else.

Anyone who uses the same browser profile may be able to see it. Local storage is not encrypted, so do not use the site on a shared device if that concerns you.

05

Cookies

The site does not currently set cookies for advertising, analytics or tracking. Local storage, described above, is used only to make the simulator work. Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary cookies for security, for example to protect the site from automated attacks.

06

If we add analytics, advertising or affiliate links

If we add analytics, advertising, affiliate links or any other feature that collects personal data or uses non-essential cookies, we will update this page before it goes live, describe what is collected and why, and ask for your consent where the law requires it. Affiliate links will also be labelled as described in the Affiliate Disclosure.

07

Links to other websites

The site may link to other websites. When you follow a link, the other site's own privacy policy applies. We are not responsible for how other sites handle your data.

08

Children

The site is intended for adults aged 18 or over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

09

Your rights

Depending on where you live, data protection laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) may give you rights over your personal data. These can include the right to know what data is held about you, to get a copy, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its use, and not to be treated differently for exercising your rights. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Because TradingFXO does not run accounts or collect identifying information, it generally holds no personal data about you beyond the technical request data processed by its hosting provider. Data saved by the simulator is on your own device, and you can delete it yourself at any time as described above.

TradingFXO does not sell personal data or share it for targeted advertising.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when the site or its data practices change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
