Risk Disclaimer
Please read this before using anything on TradingFXO. It explains what the site is, what it is not, and the risks of trading currencies.
Education only, not financial advice
TradingFXO provides general educational information about foreign exchange (forex), currency markets, trading terms, risk concepts and practice exercises. Nothing on the site is tailored to your financial position, objectives, experience or tolerance for risk.
The site does not provide personal investment, trading, financial, tax, accounting or legal advice. It does not make offers or solicitations to trade, publish buy or sell signals, manage money, or recommend any particular broker, product, strategy or transaction. TradingFXO is not a broker, does not hold customer money and does not place orders for anyone.
Trading currencies can cause substantial losses
Currency prices can change quickly and unpredictably. Trading leveraged products such as margin forex and contracts for difference (CFDs) carries a high risk of losing money rapidly. Leverage magnifies losses as well as gains, so a small price move can have a large effect on your account.
You can lose some or all of the money you commit. Depending on the product, the provider and the rules where you live, losses may exceed the amount you deposited. You may also face margin calls and automatic close-outs, overnight financing (swap) charges, spreads, commissions, slippage, price gaps and periods of poor liquidity.
A stop-loss order does not guarantee that a position will close at the price you chose, or that your loss will be limited to the amount you planned. In fast markets or over a gap, orders can be filled at a worse price.
Only trade with money you can afford to lose. If you are unsure whether trading is suitable for you, seek independent advice from a suitably qualified and authorised professional.
The simulator uses simulated prices
The practice simulator uses prices generated on your device by a seeded random process. They are not live, delayed or historical market prices, and they do not reconstruct any real market period. Each bar is a fictional period without a real date. The virtual balance has no cash value, cannot be deposited or withdrawn, and is not connected to any brokerage account. No real orders are sent anywhere.
The simulator is deliberately simplified. It uses a fixed spread for each pair; it does not model commissions, swaps, variable spreads, requotes or liquidity; it checks stops and targets against each bar's high and low and assumes the stop fills first if a bar touches both; and it checks margin only at the close of each bar. Real brokers and real markets behave differently.
Results in the simulator, including profit and loss, win rate, average R and drawdown, describe only that simulated session. They cannot show how a strategy would perform in live or historical markets, and they do not predict future results. Trading with real money also feels very different from practising with virtual money.
Calculators and examples depend on assumptions
The calculators and worked examples on the site produce estimates from the figures and assumptions shown or entered. Real pip values, contract sizes, margin requirements and costs depend on the instrument, the provider and current prices. The tools may leave out spreads, commissions, financing, currency conversion, slippage or taxes.
Check the formula, inputs and units, and your provider's own terms, before relying on any calculation. A calculator result is not a price quote and not a recommended position size.
No guarantees or performance claims
TradingFXO does not promise that any lesson, note, calculator, simulation, risk rule or trading idea will produce a profit or prevent a loss. Past results, whether real, simulated or used as an example, do not guarantee or reliably indicate future results.
Figures such as risk-to-reward ratios, win rates and drawdowns describe only the stated inputs or sample. They do not establish the likelihood of success.
Check information and make your own decisions
Educational material can be incomplete, simplified or out of date. Market conditions, provider terms and laws change. Check current facts with reliable primary sources and read the documents for any product or provider you are considering.
You are responsible for deciding whether any trading activity is lawful and suitable for you where you live. Do not rely on this site as a substitute for your own judgement or for professional advice.
Third-party links and future commercial content
The site may link to other websites. A link is not an endorsement or a recommendation. If TradingFXO adds advertising or affiliate links in future, they will be labelled, as explained in the Affiliate Disclosure. A commercial relationship never makes a product suitable for you.
